Three of the finest bakeries in Frederick are participating in our first ever Cupcake Wars event. Each bakery is donating 100 cupcakes that will be made for sale to the public. The bakery with the most votes in the end, wins!

At 12PM sharp, tickets will go on sale for the Cupcake Wars!! event. They will continue to be sold till the end of the event which is 3PM.

Tickets, which can be exchanged for a cupcake, will be sold for $3 each or 2 for $5. By exchanging a ticket for a cupcake, that constitutes a vote for that bakery. The bakery with the most tickets at the end of the event wins! Cupcakes will be available between 1PM and 3PM.

Yes you can vote for your favorite bakery in advance. No cupcakes can be redeemed for these votes; they are for the purpose of supporting your favorite bakery and Kids Are Heroes. (All proceeds go to Kids Are Heroes.) In thanks, you will be honored on one of our Cupcake Walls up until and through the end of the event. So get voting!!!

The Charity Wars!! event will run concurrently with the Cupcake Wars!! event. At the end of the Cupcake Wars, a ticket will be drawn to determine the winner of the Charity Wars. This winner will receive 25% of the cash donations that come in the day of and are generated by the Cupcake Wars. This money will be donated to the winning hero's non-profit at the end of the day.

When someone purchases a cupcake ticket, that ticket can also be designated to vote for a particular hero's charity (as long as it is a 501c3 non-profit). Each eligible charity will start out with 5 tickets. More tickets for a charity can also be purchased for $1 each. The more tickets a charity has in the drawing the better chance it has of winning. The winning ticket will be drawn at the end of the day.
