At kidsareheroes.org, we see the important role that teachers play in the development of our children.  We are starting an initiative to work with schools to promote volunteerism among our young people.

Has a group of students from your school done something recently that would make us want to feature them on this web site?  Nominate your school here.

Make it a homework assignment for kids to go to the web site and click on Lily's Heroes.  Have them read as many of the stories as they can and pick out their favorite one.  The next day, lead a discussion asking kids which story they liked best and why.  If one story (or type of story) is more popular, see how your class can accomplish something similar.  Have the students choose a group leader to help facilitate the project.
